Day 01: Arrival in Srinagar & Local Sightseeing | The City of Lakes

• Arrival: Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel in the city for check-in and fresh-up.

• Mughal Gardens Tour: In the afternoon, visit the world-famous Mughal Gardens, situated on the banks of Dal Lake with the majestic Zabarwan Mountains as a backdrop:

  • Nishat Bagh (Abode of Pleasure): Built in 1632 AD by Asif Khan, brother-in-law of Jahangir.

  • Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love): The royal garden built by Emperor Jahangir for his beloved wife, Empress Noor Jahan.

• Spiritual & Cultural: Visit the Shankaracharya Temple atop the hill for a panoramic bird’s-eye view of the entire city. En route, visit a traditional Carpet Weaving Center to see the art of Kashmiri handlooms.

Excursion to Sonmarg | The Meadow of Gold

• Morning: After breakfast, embark on a scenic day trip to Sonmarg (approx. 80 km from Srinagar). The drive takes you through the breathtaking Sindh Valley, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and meadows filled with wildflowers.

• Significance: Sonmarg is the gateway to Ladakh and serves as a base for treks to high-altitude Himalayan lakes.

• Activities (Direct Payment):

  • Thajiwas Glacier: You can hire a pony to visit this major attraction where snow remains year-round.

  • Zero Point: For snow lovers, you can hire a local Union Cab to visit Zero Point (subject to road openings).

• Evening: After a full day of enjoyment, drive back to Srinagar.

Excursion to Gulmarg | The Meadow of Flowers

• Morning: After breakfast, transfer to Gulmarg (approx. 50 km). Known for its delightful ski slopes, Gulmarg also boasts the highest 18-hole Golf Course in the world.

• Sightseeing: If weather permits, you can witness a breathtaking view of Nanga Parbat. Nature lovers may also opt for a short trek to Khilanmarg (approx. 3 hours).

  • Gondola Ride: Enjoy the famous Cable Car ride (tickets subject to availability/online booking). The ride operates in two phases: Phase 1 (Kongdoori) and Phase 2 (Apharwat Peak) for panoramic snow views.

• Return: After enjoying your day in the mountains, drive back to Srinagar in the evening.

• Leisure/Shopping: Depending on your flight timing, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping (Pashminas, Dry Fruits, or Souvenirs) at Lal Chowk or on Boulevard Road.

• Transfer: Transfer to Srinagar International Airport for your onward journey.
